Strong roots make room for lasting growth.

Rooted & Wired theory of change

Stronger organizations create stronger community outcomes.

Community-based nonprofits are often closest to the challenges facing their communities, but many lack the infrastructure, technology, funding readiness, and strategic support needed to grow.

What we do

We strengthen community-based nonprofits through:

  • Organizational strategy and capacity building
  • Technology and digital infrastructure
  • Funding and grant readiness
  • Training and technical assistance
  • Tools such as Rooted & Wired Blueprint
  • Connections to resources, partners, and capital

Our pathway to change

Community knowledge → Access → Capacity → Readiness → Growth → Scaled impact

01

Access

Access creates momentum.

Nonprofit leaders gain access to practical tools, knowledge, technology, funding resources, and trusted support.

Rooted & Wired is not entering communities to provide all the answers. We are helping leaders strengthen the organizations through which their existing knowledge and solutions reach more people.

Neisha Freeman Rojales

About the founder

Built by someone who has done the work.

Neisha Freeman Rojales has spent close to two decades bridging technology and community work, across broadband and digital equity policy, nonprofit capacity building, and AI workforce development. She is a U.S. Army Reserves veteran, an EdSafe Women in AI Fellow, and a finalist for TAG’s Emerging Technology Leader of the Year. She holds an MBA in Digital Business and Technology from the University of Georgia.

Rooted & Wired exists because she kept meeting nonprofit founders who had built something real with no infrastructure underneath it. This is the organization she wished someone had handed her earlier.

What we expect to change

Capacity that carries forward.

Explore how stronger organizational infrastructure changes the experience of the people and communities this work is built around.

For nonprofit leaders

Greater confidence, knowledge, access, and ability to lead growing organizations.

Where We Are Now

Launch-stage, focused, and building with intention.

Rooted & Wired is a nonprofit initiative in development, building programs, tools, and partnerships to strengthen community-based nonprofits.

Our core assumption

Community leaders already hold the knowledge, relationships, and ideas needed to create change.

When those leaders have access to strong organizational infrastructure, technology, capital, and strategic support, they are better positioned to build sustainable organizations and scale their impact.
